westminnie

well my dears, it has come to that ever so fateful time once again...SCHOOL HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!
Westminster was la la la divine.
it has my heart
i can't thank my parents enough for helping me go there!

Wednesday morning, I awoke feeling nervous and anxious to get to school, a little sad that summer was officially over as well. Muzz and I did a quick lunch before I had to leave for my 2 o'clock class. I struggled (just as always) finding the perfect outfit. Besides the fact that it was BLAZING hot, my hair just wasn't cooperating...luckily, i found a satisfying outfit, and away I went. however, not without the annual "first day of school picture" that I have been posing for since i was in kindergarten. maybe even preschool.

the beloved parking pass

i burned a special CD of all my favorite songs for the car ride there, jammed out to calm my nerves, and embarked on my new adventure. I was kind of numb, too many emotions, but very excited above all. It was weird driving to a new school and thinking that I was a sophomore. my whole freshman year played off in my head, feelings, memories, thoughts, regrets etc...
now, i was headed into my second year of college...time flies, that is for sure.
I found a prime parking space and headed into my first class that was located in the Emma Eccles Music Conservatory.
I died. It was so open, pretty, and clean. They had the coolest display of violins in a glass case that had been hand painted in the most unique designs and colors, they were so cool! I took it all in, found my classroom, and chatted it up with a girl named Madison, that is also a communications major as well, from Arizona. (I got to hear all about why her roommate is currently not talking to her...)
That class got let out early so I had about an hour and 1/2 to waste before my psychology class. I enjoyed the weather, took a table in the commons area, and sat there. I started to read my syllabus, do a little homework, and hope that I spotted someone i knew. (Richard eventually came to my rescue)
This is when i realized....there really is so many diverse people at this school! and Richard was right...there is a hippie population! oh boy.. i had a hard time keeping my concentration, SO much too look at.

I am very optimistic about this year and hope to make the most out of it at Westminster. I want to join a couple clubs and get involved as much as i can. Of course I'll be at all the lacrosse games cheering on #6, trying to keep up with my studies (math is already depressing me) and trying tto avoid getting hit by JR in his Porsche....

I am so thankful for the opportunity to go there and can't wait to see what this year brings....
As for tonight, I am exhausted! Looking forward to riding my horses tomorrow, I haven't seen them in over a week, and i am having withdrawals.... but excited for the upcoming weeekkk.

much love
xoxo
