you make my life beautiful

to start off...

an awe moment.
i think there are a slim number of ladies out there that would disagree with me. this pulls on the heart strings.

now, onto the boring stuff. (warning: none of this is an awe moment, but thanks for reading)
school is good. stressful but very good. i am meeting some really cool and interesting people. each day, it is something new.
i have expressed this before, and will do so again, how thankful i am for the opportunity to get an education. despite my complaining about homework, mostly math, i really do enjoy it.

last night, i viewed a film with the boyfriend called "waiting for superman." (we have a weird habit of watching documentaries, don't ask...)
surprisingly, it was very well put together and informative documentary about the public school system. sad too. long story short, the public school system sucks, i can attest to that. it's an eye opening film and worth watching.

as for the weekend, well, there's not much to say besides the fact that it was marvelous.

-"lexie time" aka being home alone (a couple days alone with the house to myself is wonderful, but i do love when the parents return)
...pretty normal yeah?
you may be thinking, rewind....camping? lexie russell doesn't camp. but HOLLA BACK and CHECK IT HONEY BEE..
you read right.
lexie russell went camping. as in sleeping in a tent, squatting in the woods, fearing animals eating me while sleeping, campfires, hot dogs (roasting them on sticks, straight off a tree, no skewers)shooting guns, bug spray, and smelling divine when you come home.
can you believe it?
take a breath.  i know i know. unbelievable? (my parents just laughed at me when i told them i would be going camping)
but guess what?
I HAD A BLAST. read it again if you need too...
besides it being a little chilly during the night, it was a lovely and enjoyable time!!
the best part? watching richard and his friend Dustin chase a sheep through the meadow..naturally with the hopes that they could ride it...no luck. but it made for some good entertainment...along with being serenaded in the morning to richard singing james blunt "your beautiful" to me at the top of his lungs. am i a lucky girl or what? (i say that with NO sarcasm intended, all truth)

speaking of richard and his friends, they are troopers for putting up with me. i know none of them read this, so i will express my gratitude to them at another time, but they really were so kind to let me tag along.
if there was one person who was clueless and out of their element in the wilderness, it would be ME.
but they were awesome. richard was a nice little man, put up the tent, as i sat their watching, and cheering him on (i did slap the rain cover on, which was needed when a thunderstorm hit late at night.)
bless him.

now, as i sit enjoying my pandora station, staring at the books i need to read, and looking forward to bedtime...i am full of gratitude. life is good.
:)

sadly, i have no pictures from camping. but y'all can use your imagination...

i end with this...

shout out to muzz for just bringing me a delicious grilled cheese. what would we do without our moms?
i sure wouldn't ever have any clean clothes...

much love
