today, i feel much like i have a hangover, even though i have no idea what that feels like, i imagine it would feel something similar to the way i feel right now, maybe/maybe not. all in all though, i am a happy soul. we got back from vegas late last night, and today, i miss being on vacation. I am however upset with myself for not taking photos. I barely took any and it peeves me.
We arrived thursday night and stayed at my house in st.george...we got up friday morning and delighted in some mother nature. We did a little hike called "red cliffs" which was actually quite enjoyable. Laura and I climbed a boulder...pat on the backs to us, we were quite happy with ourselves.
There were awesome rock formations and we were hoping there would be water, but sadly, there was none. We still had a great time, Richard was like a little kid in a candy store climbing all the rocks and exploring new places. After grabbing lunch and packing up our stuff we drove to Vegas and met up with relatives of the Snow's. The highlight of the night was seeing "Blue Man Group." This was sick! It was my first ever "Vegas" show and I was highly impressed. They were awesome performers and I loved the music they created with the oddest instruments. I would definitely recommend seeing them if you are in Vegas and have the chance...you won't be disappointed.
Saturday, we enjoyed brunch at the Wynn...in case you didn't know, I have the cutest boyfriend ever. He was worried about spilling on his shirt...easiest fix? Just put a napkin over it. bless his heart. there is never a dull moment with him, which i absolutely love.

The hotel we stayed at was tie-dying shirts that afternoon by the pool (this has been a dream of Richard's for quite some time, but that's only natural, when you have a beard ha ha)
we headed down there to check it out, but nada. they cancelled it because it had been raining earlier that afternoon. with frowns on our faces, we headed back to the room, and hung out there. it was nice to just relax and not "have to be" anywhere. I feel like we are always going one hundred miles an hour at home and never have enough time.
We went to the best restaurant that night to celebrate Richard's birthday. "mona miga bi" (i hope i spelled that right) at the Paris. It was right on the strip, which provided for some glorious people watching. we enjoyed a wonderful meal, tried snails (not a fan) and did a little shopping afterwards.
Richard and I stayed in that night and watched a movie while everyone else headed out to play. it was a lovely night, to say the least. Thanks to Laura and JR for treating us to dinner! |

the little snails
Sunday, i wasn't looking forward to leaving or the drive home. The weekend had gone by way too fast.
We had a fun little day though, played around Vegas, napped, and shopped.
all in all, it was a grand vacation. I can't thank the Snow's enough for taking me along. They are a riot to be with and I always have the best time. Laura- we WILL get our white halter tops with the flames, everyone needs to be prepared.
ha ha
hope everyone had a great weekend.
much love
xoxo
