Christmas has to be my all time favorite holiday. hands down.
I can't wait to go to Temple Square to see the lights (hopefully this weekend)
decorate the christmas tree,
sled,
listen to cheesy Christmas songs that seem to never get old, and make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside,
avoid the scary Santas in the mall (uggh they make me shutter)
shop for presents,
hot chocolate by the fire, watching Gossip Girl, naturally (guilty pleasure: McDonald's hot chocolate...Shelby and I discovered it the other night. divine.)
and most importantly,
spending time with the family
(guess i need to get going on a number of those)
but
i kicked off the Christmas season
last week and attended Festival of Trees with Ms. Shelby:
we had a marvelous time...she is the prettiest gal. i just love being in her presence
{and}
i'm eagerly waiting for the Russell hoodlums from Texas to arrive...
T-Minus 15 days till these two cute kids (and the rest of the gang) come to UT for Christmas:
(L) Drew with his pickle in whipped cream (yummy)
(R) Miss Elsa lookin sassy in her cute outfit...
her friend had a dinner party at CPK for her birthday...talk about classy nine year olds.
This Christmas will be the first in a long time that my entire family will be together. I'm excited to spend Christmas at the "midway cottage" regardless if there is furniture or not (that was for you grandma ;) either way it will be a good time. (besides of course Chris, Catherine and Bonnie who won't be able to come, you will be missed!)
As for school, finals are almost over (HALLELUJAH!) and December 13th is the GOLDEN DAY. ie: my last day of classes for Fall Semester 2011! I made it! (almost) to be quite honest, i'm shocked that i am still in one piece AND surprisingly, looking forward to my new classes for spring semester. i survived my first round at Westminster..
hope everyone has a wonderful week....much love
xoxo
