jib jab

not only am i avoiding homework {in a huge way}but my heart is full today and naturally, i feel the need to blog.

first of all, i love my horses so much. i've had wonderful past lessons this week on both horses, particularly Bambi. were finally trusting one another, and i can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. so thankful for my trainer, priscilla, for believing in not only Bambi but me as well.
this week was crazy, but now that i look back at it, i realize how crazy marvelous it really was.

i was able to catch up with my good friend, Chelsea Escalona, who i haven't seen in weeks. (which saddens me because last year, we were joined at the hip, in a large part because of KAPPA and our schedule coordinated.) this year...it's totally different. she lives in Alpine, I live in Holladay, its not a quick drive to see one another. AND you'd think since our schools are practically up the street from one another, i would SEE her more....but no. it's completely opposite. regardless, we both reminisced on last year, looked forward to the future, and chatted for hours.

love you booski.

i also had a psychology test, which i literally crammed for hours before class. surprisingly, i feel very confident that i did well (thank heavens) but we shall see when i get it back this week.
i am really enjoying my english class. it's a ton of work and lots of writing, but writing is something i enjoy, so i am trying to gain as much as i can from it. my professor is a young girl, who has a nose ring and fertility tattoo (need i say more?) i was a little skeptical about her at first, but that's exactly why they say "don't judge a book by its cover" she really has been such a great teacher and very helpful when critiquing my writing.
as for MATH...its a pain in my you know what. i am so frustrated with it. i could poke my eyeballs out.
i just need to get through this class and i will never have to do algebra again.
which is a huge reason why i want to go into communications/public relations (or journalism, still undecided)
fashion, writing, design, furniture, photography, etc requires no finding X.
(who cares about X anyways?)
ok ok
i am now done on my math rant...
(however, poor richard got the brunt of it on tuesday. he witnessed a stressed out Lexie, running around campus, like a chicken with its head cut off going back and forth from the math lab, just trying to complete & understand my homework.)
he's a sweetheart, gave me a hug and told me i'd be fine.

speaking of richard, he doesn't read my blog, (at least i don't think so) therefore, i can be cheesy and gush about how wonderful he is. (at least i'm not posting some awful cheesy song on Facebook professing my love to him. i can't stand those darn facebook statuses. or singing him a song like Gary did to Amber, for those of you that watch Teen MOM.... )
but thats beside the point, truth is, i have never been so thankful for someone in my
entire life.
not only does he constantly make me laugh
for example:
grocery shopping.
grocery shopping is boring. so mundane, i always just want to get in and out of the store (unlike nordstroms) but grocery shopping with richard is a whole other story.
while trying to pick the perfect brand of chocolate chips from the shelf, i experienced my boyfriend hiking his pants up and tucking his shirt in. (these were gym shorts) i about peed my pants with laughter. he wanted to look "proper" (i honestly can't remember his exact reasoning) but i'm sure it was something hilarious. unfortunately, i neglected to take my phone into the store (shocker) so i wasn't able to take a picture. (i really wanted to send it to his mom)
i was hysterically laughing while winding my way through the store, trying to push the cart.
<3
there is never a dull moment with him.
besides always making me laugh, he is the epitome of a true gentleman.

i thank my lucky stars daily for him.... and for his family.
for those of you that don't know (were kind of a big deal) and tuesday october 4th will be our 6th month mark. (no one freak out, were not engaged)

i end here. i really must stop putting off homework.
i hope everyone has a lovely conference weekend....
peace out my lovelies

xoxo
