I couldn't have asked for a better experience, better horses, better trainers, better friends etc (i could go on and on) it was simply incredible :) :) :)
I want to thank my trainers, Priscilla and Candice, for all there hard work. They have spent an incredible amount of time working with my horses and I.
I will be forever grateful to them.
Thursday was prep and warm up day. I had lessons in the afternoon, and the horses had arrived early that morning. I was full of nerves and not sure how i was going to survive the weekend.
Finally, friday morning came and I was ready to rock and roll. My nerves had been diminished and I was nothing but excited to get into the ring. My first class was on Storm (western horse) we had a great ride, and it only got better throughout the day. Bambi and I also had a couple really great rides, unanimous winner in my hunter pleasure 18-39 class!! I WAS SO PROUD OF HER!!!
Saturday morning was the absolute best. I was so blessed to have not only my parents there, just as always, but also Chelsea and Daniel!! They stayed for my morning western and hunt class. It was so fun to be riding around and look up and see them. I had to keep myself from giggling cause I could only imagine the hilarious things that Chelsea may have been thinking (chelsea: HPOA, yeah...YOU!)
Bambi and I were unanimous winners once again that morning, and I placed 2nd and 3rd on Storm.
The rest of the day, I did very well in my classes, and won a couple.
Sunday, I was tired and sore. But ready to finish out the show with a bang.
I ended up winning the Adult Amateur Owner to Ride 18-39 championship in western pleasure and was reserve in my hunter pleasure class. Storm and I won the Allison Eagan Memorial trophy (she was an influential horse lady in the Arabian world and my trainer's close friend) I took a picture with it, but it doesn't do the trophy justice. It's really colorful and intricate...I love it. and is sitting on my nightstand where I can stare at it and be happy every time I see it.
The day ended marvelous...(despite the freezing cold and endless snow) but it was well worth it.
I want to thank my parents for their support...I don't know how I got so lucky but I hands down have the best parents in the world. end of story. My dad is always there to take pictures, entertain everyone, and of course be there to make me laugh and "lighten the mood" .... my muzz is the BEST SHOW MOM EVER! she is getting to be a PRO at show buns and the best at putting up with her sassy daughter that is snapping at her to hurry and zip up her chaps, take her horse, put her number on, help her with her hair, carry her lipgloss, carry her gloves, etc the list just goes on and on. thanks muzz. not sure how you do it, i feel that i would just slap my daughter hahaha
I am so thankful and can't express it enough.
