Attitude of G.R.A.T.I.T.U.D.E.

As I reflect on the weekend, I realize how thankful I am for all that I have. Thankful for the many people in my life that I love so much. Thankful for my faith and religion. Thankful for my amazing parents who always know exactly what I need. Thankful for my family.Thankful for my grandparents that are constantly there for me and always supporting everything I do. Thankful for my wonderful friends, I couldn't ask for better friendships. Lizzy, Shelby, Josh, Chelsea, Hailey, Erik, Sammie, Sara, Summer, Paige..just to name a few. I couldn't live without all of them...they are great examples to me. There friendships mean so much to me and I will be forever grateful to them. My cousins who are always cheering me up, Rachel, for making me join a sorority (which has been one of the best blessings in my life) and so thankful for my horses and my doggie.

It's crazy how much there is to be thankful for, but you get so caught up in what you "don't have." It becomes all so materialistic, and its crazy how much it can consume you.
It takes over and you only focus on the things that you are lacking. Thomas S. Monson, gave a great talk in the morning session of Conference about gratitude...it touched me in so many ways. I just loved it.
I made a promise to myself that October would be all about having gratitude, being thankful for the little things and most importantly the people around you. A lot of times, we take others for granted, guilty as charged of that. Nitpicking at the small things, and not realizing the big picture...
OCTOBER GOAL: Everyday, I am going to write down two things (more if i'd like) that I am grateful for. At the end of this month, I will have an eye opening experience...okay, maybe not that big, but i will visually see how much I have and how much I really do have to be thankful for. First, thing on my list... family, fall and music.

i extend my thanks again to everyone. if i could only tell you all how much you mean to me...it would take years & years & years. but i really do love and thank you all...a million times and another million more. don't wait until its too late to give thanks, and don't wait to say what you need to say to someone that means a lot to you.
one love <3
